Sustainable growth, input factors, and technological progress in agriculture: Evidence from 1990 to 2020 in China

This paper decomposes agricultural input factors into labor, land, fertilizer, and farm machinery in 31 provinces of China from 1990 to 2020. analyzes the factor’s contribution rates China’s growth using stochastic frontier model. The empirical results indicate that rate has weakened, with decreasing an increasing fertilizer machinery, land year by year. technological progress is increasing, there room for improvement. In addition, alternately lead time policy change China. research also shows prerequisite promoting rural supply-side reform achieving sustained ensuring a stable supply factors, focusing on progress.
